Utah has allowed permitless concealed carry since May 2021 for adults 21 and over who are not prohibited, and open carry of an unloaded firearm is lawful. Courthouses, secure areas and posted churches remain off limits. The concealed firearm permit, including a provisional permit for 18 to 20-year-olds, is still issued by the Bureau of Criminal Identification and is honoured by many states.
Utah's general-season buck deer hunt is drawn by unit, with the any-weapon season running about nine days in late October and archery and muzzleloader seasons ahead of it.
